Is Planned Parenthood donating or selling baby parts?

A recurring meme of abortion defenders is that Planned Parenthood is not engaged in selling organs of the babies they've killed, but is merely donating the organs and taking money just to cover cost.

That is a misunderstanding.

Donation means to provide free of charge. When I donate clothing to my church, I drop it in the bin and drive away. I don't go to the parish office and ask for reimbursement for my costs--for the cost of the clothing and cost of gasoline.

Selling is the provision of a product or service in exchange for money. The money may be below cost, at cost, or at a profit. It is the exchange of money that makes something selling rather than donating.

Planned Parenthood sells baby parts. It takes money for them. It sells them.

Now, does Planned Parenthood profit from selling baby parts? The answer is almost certainly yes.

First, both the Planned Parenthood "doctor" and one of the companies to which PP sells its wares mention "a little extra" for the clinic, which means profit. Which means felony.

In addition, the videos are about haggling over price. Now if I am selling at cost, I don't haggle over price, because cost is not negotiable. Cost is what it is. If it costs me $27 to kill a baby, I just tell the company that wants the parts what my cost is, and they pay me or not. There is no haggling because cost is fixed.

The videos are all about haggling, and thus are obviously not about mere cost. They are about profit--" a little extra for the clinic".

The videos are straight-forward confessions of felonies.

Planned Parenthood clarifies statement on healthcare

[Dissociated Press] Planned Parenthood president Cecile Britchards today clarified a statement she had made in an essay in the Washington Post in response to the storm of criticism at revelations that her organization is selling baby parts.

Britchards initially said:
"Planned Parenthood has been a trusted nonprofit provider of women’s health care for nearly a century. Each year, 2.7 million people come to our health centers for high-quality, nonjudgmental, compassionate care."
Today Planned Parenthood released the following correction:
"Our statement in the Washington Post wasn't entirely correct. Planned Parenthood has been a trusted nonprofit provider of women’s health care for nearly a century. Each year, 3 million people come to our health centers for high-quality, nonjudgmental, compassionate care. For 2.7 million of the people who enter our clinics, we provide high quality, non-judgmental, compassionate health care. For 300,000 of the people who enter our clinics, we dismember them, crush their skulls, and suck out their brains."
Planned Parenthood apologized for any confusion.

The Senator from Greece

Bernie Sanders is catching up with Hillary in Iowa. The Clinton stench is so strong that even diehard Democrat morons can't take it. They're hoping Sanders will ease the smell of their party a bit.

Sanders is of course a socialist loon with a disgraceful history of far-left politics. He's a crazier, if less felonious, version of Hillary.

To save us from the most corrupt politician in American today, Dems are rallying around the senator from Greece.

I'm transitioning into Al Sharpton...

This "trans-race" fracas about Rachel Doezal is a hoot. Doezal is just an ordinary fraud, making good use of an epoch of national psychosis.

But 'trans-race experts' are having none of this:

Why some experts debunk 'Transracial' to explain Rachel Dolezal Case

What the hell is a 'Transracial expert'? A psychiatrist? A fraud investigator? A comedian?

Question for 'Transracial experts': how is Doezal's fraud any different from Elizabeth Warren's fraud? How is lying about being black to advance your career any different from lying about being Indian to advance your career?

Experts are speechless on that point. Perhaps the reason that lefties are quickly consigning Dolezal to the dustbin, rather than championing her 'cause' as  the new Bruce Caitlin Jenner, is that Doezal's lie is indistinguishable from Warren's lie, and Warren is their hero.

Episcopalians and gay marriage

A great essay about the recent Episcopalian decision to perform gay marriages, by a former Episcopalian  priest (now Catholic):

You have to understand that what [liberal Episcopalians] do is dress up their secular atheism in religious language. Just like they dress up like Catholic priests and bishops, so they will don the garb of the religious believer and mouth those words, while all the time they have “re-interpreted” those words.
Thus a typical Anglican-Episcopalian will say he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God incarnate. What he really means is that Jesus was such a good man–even a perfect human being so that when we see him we see what God is like. He will say he believes in the Virgin Birth, but what he means is that “in some sort of marvelous way the girl Mary was especially pure and innocent” On Easter Day he’ll say “Alleluia! Christ is Risen!” What he means is that “Isn’t it wonderful how, despite his tragic death, the teachings of Jesus continued to live on in the lives of his disciples…”
You get the idea.
The Episcopal decision should therefore surprise no one who understand the worldview of the Anglican-Episcopal Church.
Read the whole thing. The onus is not on all Anglicans--there are good and holy people in that church. But there is much apostasy, and much abandonment of Christ for the secular world and its charms.

Watching "The Butler"

Spent the afternoon Saturday watching The Butler with my family. The movie is about a black butler who served in the White House in the mid-20th century, and about his experience of racism, most brutally as a child of a sharecropper family in Georgia when he saw his father murdered by a white man who had just raped his mother. It's a good movie--highly recommended.

Thinking about the racism it depicts, I am reminded of one of the most unjust and bizarre aspects of our nation's disgraceful racial past (and to some extent, present).

We Americans are excoriated for our racism as a nation, in many ways justifiably, but not all Americans are equally responsible for our national original sin.

All of the ugliest facets of our racist history--slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, segregation, lynching, suppression of black voters--were formal policies of the Democrat Party. This is never noted candidly in our discussion of our past--when was the last time you heard a movie or a newscast or any commentator pointing out that America's racism is really the Democrat Party's racism.

And of course the Democrats are still racists, broadly speaking. Racism is the fuel that drives Democrat politics--race-baiting, to be more specific, which is simply a form of racism. Democrats desperately gin up fear and hate over Trayvon Martin, or Ferguson, or Baltimore. They need to keep hate and fear alive. They need the votes.

If racial hate and fear were to disappear in America, the Democrat Party would never win another national election, and would win few local elections.

The history of racism in America is more or less the history of the Democrat Party.

On the understanding the ruling class in America

Voltaire:

"To learn  who rules over you, find out whom you are not allowed to criticize."

HT Angelo Codevilla

"No truce with the Left"

Sultan Kinish:

You can't accommodate the left on social issues. You can't accommodate it on fiscal issues. You can't do it. Period.
The left exists to destroy you. It does not seek to co-exist with you. Its existence would lose all meaning. Any common ground will be used to temporarily achieve a goal before the useful idiots are kicked to the curb and denounced as bigots who are holding back progress.
The purpose of power is power. The left is not seeking to achieve a set of policy goals before kicking back and having a beer. The policy goals are means of destroying societies, nations and peoples before taking over. If you allow it a policy goal, it will ram that goal down your throat. It will implement it as abusively as it can possibly can before it moves on to the next battle.
It's not about gay marriage. It's not about cakes. It's about power.
More fundamentally it's about the difference in human nature between the people who want to be left alone and those who want power over others.
You can't work out a truce with tyrants. You can give in or stand up to them. There's nothing else.

Read the whole thing. An uncommonly clear understanding of what the Left is, and of the folly of trying to accommodate it.

Gaystapo issues ruling in Oregon

In Oregon gay wedding case, state morality enforcers confuse identity and activity

Of course, the lavender Jacobians aren't the least bit 'confused'.  This is just a means to crush Christians.

It's noteworthy that the criminal state official who issued this 'ruling' also issued a gag order on the Christian defendants.

Trashing free exercise of religion and freedom of speech in one ruling. Quite a day for the Left.

Please help the Kleins out during this persecution. We need to stand by our brothers and sisters.

Happy Fourth of July

Not really.

I won't be celebrating so much today. We are less and less a democracy and less and less a good and free people.

The Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage is a turning point in American history. It is the point when the Court lost all pretense at legality and credibility. Three hundred million Americans have been denied the right to vote on the meaning of marriage. We are ruled by five liars and despots--criminals really.

Am I too pessimistic? Watch what happens to Free Exercise of Religion  in the United States.
