Sometimes they forget to lie and the truth...TRISH,

Sometimes they forget to lie and the truth slips out. Bill Maher admits that he's pro-death, then names off his impressive list of pro-death credentials--he wants to kill the unborn, he wants the old and sick to off themselves, and really anybody who just doesn't want to be here as well. It's nice to know that at least Maher is admitting as much now. It would be nice if Troy would do the same.

No, Troy, it's not insulting to compare the murder of 11 million under Hitler to the murder of 55+ million under the abortion regime. (That 55+ number is only for the United States by the way. The abortion industry has global reach.)

Some day they'll do tours of Planned Parenthood's Dachaus and Bergen-Belsens, just like they do in Europe. People have the courage to look evil in the face and learn a lesson.

JQAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555199390227912207.post-61789545546807086112012-10-14T18:12:41.167-04:002012-10-14T18:12:41.167-04:00Abortion isn't murder, not matter how often yo...Abortion isn't murder, not matter how often you keep repeating that lie.

Nearly all Germans were Christians. Suckers who believe that death was brought into existence by a person eating an apple on the advice of a talking snake. Suckers who believe that someone was tortured to death so they could be saved and spend an eternal life after death in heaven. Suckers who believe in hundreds of undead zombies roaming the streets of Jerusalem after their savior didn't turn out to be dead after all, which apparently nobody at the time thought remarkable enough to document.

You guys are obsessed by death. troyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05136662027396943138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555199390227912207.post-80201452617745940022012-10-14T11:19:18.198-04:002012-10-14T11:19:18.198-04:00In my neo-con days, in the run-up to the Iraq war,...In my neo-con days, in the run-up to the Iraq war, I had a friend who was more conservative, and who politely told me I was deluded. He thought the Iraq war was imprudent and unjustified.

I disagreed, but I had this gnawing feeling that he was right, and I couldn't shake it.

I have a different perspective now. We need to take the war to the terrorists, with fury, but we need to keep our objectives in mind, and we need to consider the damage we do to innocents even in just war. mregnorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11431770851694587832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555199390227912207.post-91128140421914161572012-10-14T11:01:38.504-04:002012-10-14T11:01:38.504-04:00I suggest Maher lead the way by example.

He knows he would clearing the highway for some other, younger, more intelligent 'comedians'.
That's all I want from these Malthusian types. Just a demonstration!

JH,
'Hawks' like the people of which you write can only maintain their argument in the absence of the facts. Once war has actually begun, it soon becomes apparent that the 'easy path' (War and violent conflict) is not always the desired one, and that the toll to take it takes is very high indeed. War changes all the people involved. It changes their culture, their beliefs, their economy, and even the family.
So, strange as it may seem - I see this awakening of 'conservatives' as a product of war itself; an after-taste.

That said, the way I see it is that war is inevitable. Nations will clash and disintegrate. People will revolt against unjust governments.

A government and system turning in on its own?
An elite that engages in the killing and promotion of the killing of it's own citizens?
A democidal regime?
This murderous state of affairs can be avoided. It has been, and to a degree, is avoided in our nations.
So I feel my own position is consistent that while I am a soldier and in favour of using force where required, I am against the misuse of military force and all government involvement in violence against it's own citizens. Whether we are talking about eugenics like abortion and 'assisted suicide', or the government executing people for criminal offences - I see no merit in allowing our leaders such absolute power over us.

Anyway... re the neo-cons:
I would say the important thing is that while these folks come to hate war, that they do not lose the will to fight or demonstrate their sentiments in such a a way as to project weakness.
Those who hate war must fight it all the more fiercely and to win.

Mike,
"I point out (confess) that I used to be a neo-conservative. I was very wrong."
It's all part of a journey. A search for the truth.
I was certainly a 'hawk' at one point, and I ask God to forgive me for that frequently.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14739783974158130525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3555199390227912207.post-43873944266738493322012-10-14T10:05:52.069-04:002012-10-14T10:05:52.069-04:00Maher's sentiments are more bluntly expressed ...Maher's sentiments are more bluntly expressed than most, but he is hardly alone in his thinking.
