Dutch abortion ship heads for Morocco
Excerpt, with commentary:
'Freedom of travel and freedom of expression' are important, but are subsidiary to the right to life.
[Abortion ship organizer Gomperts] admitted that [Morocco's] reaction was "hard to predict," but she argued that any attempt to block the visit would be an "illegal" intervention in the freedom of travel and the freedom of expression...
Without the right to life, there are no real rights, only prerogatives, to be granted or withdrawn. After all, if Morocco did acknowledge the abortion ship's crew's right to travel and expression, but denied their right to life...
"I understand that (the visit) is seen as a provocation by some religious groups. But this is about women's health. It has nothing to do with religion."
Abortion is not about women's health. Pregnancy isn't a disease.
"After all, if Morocco did acknowledge the abortion ship's crew's right to travel and expression, but denied their right to life..."
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with that.
Hell! Moslems are fundamentally wrong about some important things, but they're not wrong about every important thing, as "liberals" seem determined to be.
Another way to look at this is this -- because of their hatred of historic and distinct national identities and their proclamation of a "right to travel" (i.e. national borders cannot be enforced), the Dutch "liberals" cannot bring themselves to limit the influx of Moroccans to the Nederlands via enforcement of the national sovereignty. So, instead, they hope to lower the influx by destroying some of the source.
ReplyDeleteThat’s quite the wacky conspiracy theory Lion, Are you serious, or are you just mocking yourself? It’s so hard to tell the difference.

I wonder if the Moroccans started rioting and burning down the Dutch embassy if someone would put a stop to this. Terrorism works.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right. This isn't about women's health. They just call it that so that no one will question them.

DeleteDoubt it. They'll never compromise one iota on their freedom to get pregnant and then murder the life they created. They'll fight to the death the defend it. They wouldn't care if we had a hundred Benghazis.
Freedom of speech, not so much. They'll give that up in a second in order to make the insane Jihadists think we're nice people.

Pregnancy isn't a disease.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Is it your position that the only services that doctors provide are to treat diseases?
Prevent, treat... yea.
DeleteThat's sort of what "medical practice" means.
