CNN anchor: 'Are asteroids caused by global warming?'

CNN anchor Deb Feyerick:

“Every time we see a storm like this lately, the first question to pop into a lot of people’s minds is whether or not global warming is to blame? I’ll talk to Bill Nye, ‘the science guy,’ about devastating storms and climate change... Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?”

  1. Yeah, ridiculous. Everybody knows that asteriods are caused by Jesus being angry about abortion.

  2. The fireball in Russia has exposed the scientific illiteracy of many news anchors. They all seem to need to call in their resident atheist, aka “our science guy”, to explain what’s going on.

  4. Come on now folks!
These meteors are all due to a Malthusian reaction to over population. It is mother earth calling in her star children to destroy the plague that is mankind and give the power back to the womynkind.

  5. It's not as dumb a question as you might think. Some scientists speculate that global warming expands the earth's atmosphere outward, thereby making us a bigger target for space rocks.

    1. "Some scientists speculate"?

What about data? Oh-- I forgot-- this is climate science, and data is irrelevant.
