Vice president Cheney gets a heart transplant

CBS news is reporting that former vice-president Dick Cheney has just had a heart transplant. He appears to have weathered the surgery well, and is recovering.

I've always had a lot of respect for Cheney. He strikes me as an intelligent decent man who worked very hard to keep our country safe after 9-11. I find his vilification by the left incomprehensibly vile.

Please pray for his healing.

  1. It figures. You always find the vile attractive, and the good and decent vile. Probably it is some sort of delusion induced by Satan.

  2. Hopes and prayers, Mike.
My dad had a valve replacement years ago, and it was scary stuff for the family. It took well and he lived for many years after.
My prayers also for his folks, they must be worried sick.

  3. Michael,

I'm trying to think of something nice to write about Dick Cheney.

Well, he did shoot a lawyer, so that's a plus. Although it wasn't fatal, it did show some accuracy, as some of the pellets lodged near the heart, which is a feat considering the generosity of lawyers.

However, the lawyer did apologize for getting in the way, so that negates some of the credit due to Cheney.

Actually, come to think of it, everything I've written isn't politically correct, so I'd better stop ...

Cheney was a dreadful vice president, deserving of his disapproval ratings he recorded, which is a feat considering how visible most American vice presidents are.
