Opinions and musings on religion, philosophy, science, politics, and life from a conservative Catholic neurosurgeon.
The truth about pro-choice.
On a related topic - the destruction of marriage - the Census Bureau has recently (5/2013) issued the Social and Economic Characteristics of Currently Unmarried Women With a Recent Birth (.pdf).For anyone with two neurons to rub together (which obviously excludes some of the trolls who live under Egnor's bridge), the results are alarming. Table 2 tells the tale:no HS diploma: 60% out of wedlockincome < $10k: 68.9black: 67%white: 29%asian: 11%native American: 64%hispanic: 43%Unless historic trends somehow reverse, these households are going to be an enormous burden on the national treasury and a bottomless source of crime. Most of these women and their children will be doomed to a life in poverty with a faceless, merciless, inept government to care for their needs, regulate their lives, and intrude in their homes at will. The vast Progressive experiment that substituted the government, unaccountable institutions, and hired "social workers" for a husband is the genesis of this national disaster. If the country were to attempt to abort its way out of this disaster, I'm betting the human remains disposal burden would overwhelm the currently existing medical waste treatment infrastructure. Of course, industrial incinerator complexes could be built. Plans exist for that option.
When it comes to abortion, Nazi comparisons are entirely appropriate. This is the Holocaust of our time. TRISH
