Hillary 2016

John Hinderaker:

The funny thing about Hillary Clinton is how vastly her reputation exceeds her accomplishments. In reality, the only reason anyone has heard of her is that she married Bill Clinton. Otherwise, she would have toiled away as an obscure, reasonably competent if obnoxious lawyer. She was a relatively unpopular First Lady who is best remembered for being embarrassed by her husband’s serial infidelities. She served a brief term as a Senator from New York, a role in which she achieved nothing. Then she lost the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, and punched her ticket during a singularly unsuccessful stint as Secretary of State. Never has she had an original thought, formulated a successful strategy, or stepped out of the shadow of her singular husband.

So true, except for the "reasonably competent" part. Her catastrophic performance as secretary of state should dissuade anyone from using her name and "competent" in the same sentence.

Clinton's singular accomplishment is to have been one of Bill's earlier bedmates and long-term political crony. Her actual achievements have been nil-- negative actually. She was a crooked Arkansas lawyer, remarkably lucky pork bellies speculator, horrendous First Lady, generous friend to Puerto Rican terrorists and others (as long as they had family connections or money) in need of convenient pardons, no-show senator, a failed candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, and her primary constituency during her catastrophic run as secretary of state has been the Muslim Brotherhood, who should give her a Lifetime Service Award.

Fellow political gold-digger, part-time "assistant chief of staff" and "body woman" Huma Abedin-Weiner-- a Muslim chattel-gofer raised in Saudi Arabia whose intimate ties to Hillary are exceeded only by her intimate ties to the Muslim Brotherhood-- could travel to Libya to accept the award on Hillary's behalf.

The MSM is ginning up to get Hillary elected in 2016. Her well-serviced constituents-- from felons with extra cash in the U.S. to Muslim bros in Algiers and Tunis and Tripoli and Cairo and Damascus-- are getting very excited.

Popeye, I'm sure you're a big supporter of "Tammy" Clinton.

"Vast right-wing conspiracy" was a description used by then First Lady of the United States Hillary Rodham Clinton in 1998 in defense of her husband, President Bill Clinton, characterizing the baseless continued attacks on her and her husband (as well as the Lewinsky affair) as a fabrication of Clinton's political enemies.

But "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"

By the way, I hear the latest construction site slang for speed bumps is "dead ambassadors".

I agree, Hoots. Hillary can provide unlimited entertainment. Even the Russian Foreign Minister laughed when she presented him with her mistranslated "reset" button.

Come on now! That button worked like a charm. Relations with Russia have bloomed into a loving friendship under the current admin. They get better by the day.
I bet Putin and co are all big fans of folks like Hillary.

  4. If this woman is elected, I will be finally convinced the United States as totally succumbed to a kind of neo-pagan celebrity/leader worship and nakedly ruled over by the oligarchy. It may as well change it's name and flag. Perhaps the 'United Western Reserve of the Global Interest Consortium'? I am sure they could think of something more catchy than that.
There are so many more qualified and inspired potential leaders from across the spectrum that if she is the winner in 2016, I will see it as a true sign of the death of the America I once new and liked so much. In it's place will exist a shadow of what once was. A kind of decaying, zombie version animated by a political parasite. The left will be dead and the right just twitching on the ground. The apolitical and libertarian folks may as well stake some territory somewhere and start over.
Bush and Obama both gave me the feeling this madness was taking hold. Clinton's election would totally confirm it.
The sad end to a prosperous and free age.
Maybe I am for that northern border fence after all!

That would be so sad. So who are those inspired potential leaders?

    1. "That would be so sad."
No for you, Troy. You would no doubt cheer the downfall of the USA. I suppose that is why you support globalism so fervently. What you don't understand is how that same putsch will eliminate the rainbow tinted bubble in which you live.

"So who are those inspired potential leaders?"
Look them up yourself. I am not about to spoon feed you their names. They are the younger ones that have not been totally bought and paid for yet.

    2. Nah, I wouldn't cheer the downfall of the USA at all - on the contrary. That's why I hope a Democrat will win the presidency again, and Clinton seems a fine candidate to me. A Republican president is far more likely to hasten the downfall of the USA. Look what happened under the disastrous Bush presidency. In contrast, Obama has already saved many US lives by expanding health insurance to millions more Americans.

What makes you think I support globalism? I don't even know what you mean by that.

I am not about to spoon feed you their names. They are the younger ones that have not been totally bought and paid for yet.

Right. So you don't know any names, or are afraid to be embarrassed. BTW, if they are Republican, you can be sure they have been bought and paid for, especially when they are young.

    3. Troy,
"Nah, I wouldn't cheer the downfall of the USA at all - on the contrary. That's why I hope a Democrat will win the presidency again..."
That is either deliberately deceptive or naivete beyond all reckoning, This has nothing to do with the false dichotomy of party platforms and everything to do with core rationale of a nation. My hope is for the best candidate and congress to win for the good of the US and her allies. I just know that a vote for Clinton is NOT that vote. How? Look at her record.

"Clinton seems a fine candidate to me."
Why? What has she done while in power to make you think that? Other than being a democrat, that is.

"A Republican president is far more likely to hasten the downfall of the USA."
You would only see it that way if you're a partisan. If you're a partisan the PARTY is what matters and not the nation. Thus, your statement is totally self refuting.

"Look what happened under the disastrous Bush presidency."
You'll note I did not like Bush. That said, what Bush did or did not do is not at issue. What is at issue is what the current administration has done and is doing (eviscerating the constitution, expansion of the surveillance/police state etc etc ad naseum). Obama has simply built on what Bush did, true. But, he has build a castle where Bush has laid the foundations for a cottage. Copying Bush and accelerating his disastrous programs does not make him better.

"In contrast, Obama has already saved many US lives by expanding health insurance to millions more Americans."
Maybe you don't read the news, but his healthcare plan is stalled in the houses. It has not even come into effect yet. So, no lives have been saved by it - even if it was to do so.

"What makes you think I support globalism? I don't even know what you mean by that."
Are you being coy, or do you live in a cave? Feigning ignorance is a pathetic dodge, Troy.

"Right. So you don't know any names, or are afraid to be embarrassed. "
Right, so you don't have a search engine, tv, or access to political press of any sort... or want me to make a list of names for you to trash simply because you see me as pro Republican. I am not.
Look them up yourself. Don't be so damn lazy minded. They sit on both sides of the aisle. Some of them are independents (or will be). You seem to really want a republican name, so I'll feed you one: Rand Paul. Under 60, openly critical of both parties politics, anti-nanny state and extremely popular with the 25-45 vote.

"BTW, if they are Republican, you can be sure they have been bought and paid for, especially when they are young."
Unlike their incorruptible, wonderful, saintly democratic counterparts, right? Grow up and wake up, kid.
The dems are just as rotten as the GOP. When one weighs their deeds and discards their sponsored speeches, there's hardly a difference at this point.
That's why new blood would be welcome. It would at least rock the boat a bit. Maybe wake some people up from their affluenza coma? Maybe not. But at least it's worth a shot.
It may be a whole new party or an independent is what is required to stop this cycle of plutocracy and technocracy. It may be too late. But, for goodness sake don't feed me bullshit about Clinton. If she was so wonderful how did she lose out at the DNC against Mr Community organizer in 08? Give me a break.
The reason she is being pushed is because the racial vote has been burned out by Mr Obama. Those who actually vote in those communities are becoming completely disillusioned with that dialectic, and now it's time to try for the sex based vote. Forget issues, target demographics. The race is no more than an advertising campaign for a new face to the same rulers - not a leader.

Honestly, Troy! You call yourself liberal, left wing etc? You come off like a typical cheer leader for the team. Not a radical bone in you is there? 100% USDA conformist.

  6. I especially like the line of attack that says this woman has only accomplished what she has because of her association with a powerful man. Good luck attracting women voters with that message.

What do you do when an uppity woman says something you don’t like? Why you slap her of course. It’s so much fun that Republicans have made a game of it!

  7. Given Egnor's established track record as a political pundit, I expect that Hilary will win the Presidency in 2016 in a landslide victory and then go on to have a reasonably successful two term administration.
