From Duane Patterson:
Too bad business owners couldn't sort out the employees who voted for Obama. Give'em a head start on the government dependency they pulled the lever for.
The irony in all this is that it is the lower income idiots who voted for Obama who will suffer most for his policies. Folks in the upper incomes will do ok, even if too much of their hard-earned money is confiscated. But they have savings and assets and many businessmen can just retire and collect a government check.
It's the lower income folks who pulled the lever for The One who will pay the biggest price. It's like the asshats in ravaged inner cities destroyed by decades of Democrat policies who keep voting for the bastards who wrecked their cities and families. Like the idiots in Illinois who re-elected Jesse Jackson Jr. while he plea bargains.
Sad. Sick, really.
As countless amounts of current workers in this economy are going to find out when they receive pink slips in the next few months. Whether the company be small or large, the decision to gear up for the new American expansion or hunker down in cost-cutting survival mode for at least another four years is being made in boardrooms and offices all over the country.
A majority of voters decided on Tuesday they do not perceive the coming debt crisis and our short and long term economic health to be as big a concern as whether gays can marry, whether abortion on demand is in jeopardy, whether condoms should be free (and whether male porn stars should be forced to wear them), and whether pot should be legalized. But business owners, being the successfully-demonized, greedy capitalists they are, their election season begins now.
And their vote is really the one that people are going to feel in the months ahead.

No, the irony always has been that so many poor people vote republican contrary to their economic interests. The republicans pulled this off by pretending to be more Christian, even though they support the most unchristian policies.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see selfish scumbags like you squirm.
I am squirming, because I love my country and I hate to see innocent people suffer.
DeleteAnd what do you mean by "selfish"?
DeleteLook on the bright side. You've been absolutely, horribly wrong about every single thing you've written on this blog, all the time, always. So you're probably wrong about this too.
ReplyDeleteBoo
PS Remember before the election when you said the race was over and Romney had won? I remember that, do you remember that? Good times.
Weird, with the exception of the unemployed guy that lives in the condos next door, everybody that I know who voted for Obama is a hard working professional who believes Obama’s policies will lead to a better economy and more growth.
ReplyDeleteI guess when you live in the alternate reality of the conservative news bubble it’s real easy to fall in with the “takers” meme. Its one thing when the conservatives where shitting on the 47%, but now they’ve upped it to 51%. You know a party is in trouble when they think it’s a good idea to insult the majority. I hope they stick with the “takers” meme all the way to the next election, the Latinos will love it I‘m sure.

"I hope they stick with the “takers” meme all the way to the next election, the Latinos will love it I‘m sure."
DeleteWhy? Is that because the Latinos will know that they're talking about them?
It's possible that some of these hard-working professionals you speak of actually exist. They are not, however, Obama's base. And they're stupid if they think Obama's policies will lead to a better economy and more growth. That's nearly impossible to acheive when the current administration is doing everything to raise the cost of doing business, to include jacking up the price of energy and healthcare.
Insulting the majority is not a good idea but we shouldn't lie to ourselves either.

DeleteCorporate profits are up 77% since Obama took office. The stock market consistently does better under Democratic administrations than under Republican ones. It seems reality once again has a liberal bias.
Over 40% of eligible voters sat this election out. For some reason, they didn't share your conviction that this man had a better jobs plan than the other guy.
ReplyDeleteRather than insisting the working class is stupid and deserve what they get, perhaps it's time to admit that Romney was a lousy candidate. If the GOP wants to capture our votes, they'll have to give us a real choice next time.
