Government-run healthcare has a bad week

Or, rather, victims of government-run healthcare have a bad week.
How VA hospitals are a government-run disaster
Why on earth would we want the government to run everyone's healthcare, when they are killing the unfortunate veterans who are stuck in the government health-care system that already exists?

And why haven't the mainstream media pointed out the obvious-- that liberals want to make all of America's healthcare like the VA system?

Of all the stupid that came with McJeebusCare, including the fact that it was birthed in the dead of night on the wings of a blatant lie directly from the lips of El Queso Grande Jeebus McLIghtworker, perhaps this is the pinnacle of stupidity: government healthcare reinsurance.

In this case, reinsurance is a guaranteed taxpayer bailout when the private insurance companies begin losing money because they are forced by law to ignore actuarial risk. The reinsurance program is funded by a new tax that will be collected by the insurance companies, pooled into a slush fund "managed" by HHS and the likes of Kathleen Sibelius (who was somehow overlooked this year for a MacArthur "Genius" award), and given back to the insurance companies. What could possibly go wrong?

Just as he turned out to be the World's Greatest Gun Salesman, McJeebusCare will be an incredible economic boon to medical tourism and medical homelessness.

BTW, if you need to call your insurance company and discover you're spending you last remaining hours in 800-HELL....? Just remember that McJeebusCare statutorily limits the budget that that insurance companies can spend on staffing Customer Service Departments. :-)

Meanwhile, as vets die on VA waiting lists, the Jeebus/Hagel DoD fast-tracks a sex-change operation for "Bradley" Chelsea Manning, currently in prison for espionage.

Another Left-Wing Loon prediction augers in:

What Mr. Romney and everyone else should know is that the V.H.A. is a huge policy success story, which offers important lessons for future health reform...

And yes, this is “socialized medicine” — although some private systems, like Kaiser Permanente, share many of the V.H.A.’s virtues. But it works...

      --- Paul Krugman (NYT, 11/13/2011)

Put Krugman in the VA system. Let him get in line behind Chelsea Manning.

  2. Perhaps it’s time to scrap the VA health system and get our veterans the healthcare they need thru the healthcare exchanges. Either way, with so many veterans having come home with severe injuries that in wars past would have killed them we’re going to have to come up with 600billion to 1 trillion dollars to take care of these guys.

Thank Bush and the neocon war mongers; they did more to damage this country than Bin Laden ever could.

    1. Hey, it was Obama who actually wanted the vets to pay for their own war injuries.

You misremember history, however. It was a completely bipartisan push to war in Afghanistan, slightly less bipartisan push to war in Iraq. Your hero Hillary Clinton voted for it.

If you put them on the health care exchanges it will likely take them months to get the multimillion dollar website to work, and then they will only be able to buy really expensive insurance that doesn't cover what they need. They probably won't be able to use the doctor of their choice either.

So you just don't know what you're talking about. Again.

Pelosi: "[T]he ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time... We have the Affordable Care Act that is out there that is providing resources..."

Popeye the Parrot: "it’s time to scrap the VA health system and get our veterans the healthcare they need thru the healthcare exchanges. Either way, with so many veterans having come home with severe injuries that in wars past"

Popeye the Parrot. SQUAWKKK!!! Silly twit.

Anything for an EBT card and an Obamaphone, right Popeye?

    3. “Hey, it was Obama who actually wanted the vets to pay for their own war injuries.”

Pure Bullshit. You apparently get your information from right-wing chain emails

” You misremember history, however. It was a completely bipartisan push to war in Afghanistan, slightly less bipartisan push to war in Iraq. Your hero Hillary Clinton voted for it.”

Bipartisan push based on lies promulgated by the Bush administration.

“it will likely take them months to get the multimillion dollar website to work,”

The vast majority of exchange website problems have already been fixed fool.

“they will only be able to buy really expensive insurance that doesn't cover what they need”

We’d pay for all or most of it, not the vets, just like we pay for the VA now.

“They probably won't be able to use the doctor of their choice either.”

Do you think they can go to the doctor of their choice now when some of them have to drive halfway across a state to visit the VA? If they were on the exchanges they would be far more likely to get a nearby doctor they actually want, and not have to wait nearly as long.

It’s you who doesn’t know what you’re talking about. That was so bad you should be embarrassed.

Snappy comeback, Popeye! Right on point and devastatingly logical!

Hate: it's all ya got, isn't it?

      Tootles: "Don't think it's hate"

It's OK. I love the hate from foreign trolls. You know that better than most.

    8. You win Boggs. I’ll never be as good as you at hateful mocking. You’ve taken it to a whole new level. Day after day your consistently nasty commentary proves you’re king of the assholes. Nobody else here even comes close. Good thing you love being hated because you’re a natural. Congratulations.

Popeye: "[You're] king of the assholes"

Thank you, Sir! Considering the source, that's quite a compliment.

Popeye: "I’ll never be as good as you at hateful mocking"

      No. You won't.

And there is no one group of people who deserve hateful mockery more than internet trolls like you, for whom hateful mockery, vicious lying, and ridiculous fantasy biographies - Mr Ninja Love God - are the coin of the realm.

So I love your hate. I bask in your hate. Because the most current notion about the characteristics of internet trolls is that they "tend to have dark personality traits and show signs of sadism [bonfire], antisocial behavior [ninja love god], psychopathy [Trog], and Machiavellianism [Tootles the Informer]".

One thing they left out is that trolls are nearly all beta males. Basement boys. If they weren't, they wouldn't need to be anonymous trolls whose only outlet for their pathological behavior is the internet. In the real world, the character assassination, aggression, posturing, and moral preening they show while hiding behind the skirts of the internet would get their pencilneck, sweaty-palm asses handed to them on a platter.

    10. So I love your hate. I bask in your hate.

See, that's Boggs' problem: he is in love with hate because he doesn't have enough people to project his love unto. Ideally, he should be teaching his grandchildren how to fish or to sail or whatever, but he can't, because he has no offspring. So instead, he reads right-wing websites, copies some 'juicy' bits to this blog, rants about the evils of 'progressives', complains about lazy niggers living the good life on his tax money (I bet Boggs doesn't pay more than 15% though) and so on.

One thing they left out is that trolls are nearly all beta males.

That's so funny, because Boggs himself is a typical beta male.

  3. KW. I've searched and searched for all those 'lies' that the Bush Admin used to gin up support for the war in Iraq. Can't find them. Have you got a citation which would direct me to something Bush said which was a lie?
