Now you can see why she was recalled

A Colorado gun-grabber legislator who was kicked out of office in recall because of her idiot gun control advocacy makes a fool of herself (again).

She claimed that the Navy Yard was full of people with guns (the fact is that it was a strict gun-free zone) and that the shooter couldn't have passed a background check (he passed one to get his shotgun, and he had a military security clearance.)

Goodness gracious these gun-grabbers are stupid. If they weren't so deadly, they'd be funny.

As the post points out, luckily for her she made the brain-dead comments on MSNBC, so nobody was watching.

  1. Perhaps she comments on this blog under the name KW. He even called you a "liar" for saying that the ship yard was a gun free zone, the later admitted that it was, which makes him a liar.

    1. I've recently been on several navy bases as a contractor working on satcom systems. Guys with guns are evident as soon as you get to the gate, and there is far more armed security present than just about any similarly sized enterprise. A Navy base is not equivelent to an elementary school. Idiot.

Yes. There are guys at the gate with guns.

A Navy base is not equivelent [sic] to an elementary school.

It is when you're there, Popeye.

Let's put this to bed, OK? Here is the substance of DoD Directive 5210.56, as issued by the Obama DoD:

[T]he overriding factors in determining whether or not to arm are the mission and threat. Arming DoD personnel (i.e., administrative, assessment, or inspection, not regularly engaged in or directly supervising security or law enforcement activities) shall be limited to missions or threats and the immediate need to protect DoD assets or persons’ lives.

The guys at the gate are directly engaged in security.

    4. There are some law enforcement types on bases who are allowed to carry guns. No one else is. That's a gun free zone. Idiot.

No one said that it was equivalent to an elementary school. What Egnor said is that it's a gun free zone inside of a gun free zone. Washington DC has very strict gun laws. Care to dispute that?

Considering the fact that you already backed away from your original assertion that it's not a gun free zone, you should probably shut up now and stop making a fool out of yourself. Liar.

Here's the point: the policy of allowing only security at the gate to carry was supposed to prevent people like this Alexis from getting a gun onto the base. But the policy failed. What happened is that the shooter, not being a law-abiding citizen, ignored the policy and got inside with a gun.

      Concise. Factual. Perfect.

    6. He's just pissed because he wants to use some false narrative to strip people of their second amendment rights and it's not working. People see through his nonsense.

Ms Giron also offered this amusing Leftist myth:

[The NRA] is no longer a gun owner’s organization. It’s a manufacturer’s organization. And that’s how they’re benefiting. If you look at their board members, they’re all manufacturers...

So, Tom Selleck is a gun manufacturer? Ted Nugent? Karl Malone? Roy Innis?

Then she goes on to say:

    they’re all making money.

Zounds! They're not getting SNAP cards and free contraceptives! Now we know the real agenda of the shadowy NRA. [drum roll] They are productive people who make money and they must be stopped!

By the way, there were 13 people shot in Alinskyville, Chicago (aka "Back of the Yards" South Side neighborhood, Alinsky's home community organizing area) last night. Gang-related.

So it's crystal clear. We need to take away the guns from those bitter clingers in Wetspot, OK. After all, if they didn't have guns the gangstas couldn't steal them, right?

If only some more people in the area had guns I’m sure things would have turned out much better.

    2. @KW:

Keep in mind that the Chicago mass shooting took place in a gun-free zone governed by Democrats, who insist that they know how to keep us safe from mass shootings.

The vast majority of gun violence in the US is committed by Democrats in municipalities governed by Democrats.

We should listen to your advice on controlling gun violence only for the purpose of doing the exact opposite.

    3. If only the uncle of the 3 year old who was shot in the head had an AR-15 at the ready perhaps he could have laid down suppressive fire with one hand while carrying the child to safety with the other.

You know, Popeye. You have a point. Democrats love children. Why, it's very often "all about the children"! For example, the following tweet from Allan Brauer (Democrat Party officer, CA) to Amanda Carpenter, an aide to Sen Ted Cruz, was all about the children:

@amandacarpenter May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.
      — allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

Yes, yes. All about the precious children.

And where's hoo? We haven't had any mockery of the disabled or the aged today! Aren't there any "Progressives" around to ridicule people with medical disabilities?

Progressives love using children and the disabled as political props. When they aren't useful anymore, or they move off the Plantation, the same Progressives unleash their vicious mockery and ghoulish death wishes.

Excuse me while I roar with laughter at your strutting moral righteousness, sailor. If you had your way, that child would have been murdered in the womb.

    Interesting claim from the BBC:

One of the first teams of heavily armed police to respond to Monday's shooting in Washington DC was ordered to stand down by superiors, the BBC can reveal.

A tactical response team of the Capitol Police, a force that guards the US Capitol complex, was told to leave the scene by a supervisor instead of aiding municipal officers.

    1. Sounds like the stand down order given to our military while the Benghazi mission was burning.
