Coming out of the closet, pushing others back into the catacombs

Defensive End DeMarcus Walker:
Y'all praise Michael Sam for being gay but y'all mocked Tim Tebow for being a Christian...

  1. "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." (Matthew 6:5-6)

Screw the bible, Christians LOVE hypocrites! Don't forget to visit timtebow.com where you can see plenty of hunky pictures of the countries sexiest Christian, view his adds for his sponsors, buy his video, and even arrange paid speaking engagements where Tebow will join you in lamenting how tough it is to be a Christian.

Popeye: "Don't forget to visit timtebow.com where you can see plenty of hunky pictures of the countries sexiest Christian..."

A rich, white, successful, homeschooled, Heisman Trophy-winning open Christian who is "hunky" and a solid chick magnet.

I can see why you'd hate him, Poploid. He's so different from you.

The envy oozes from your comment, son. That's bad for your health.

And keep reading those Bible quotes. They could change your life someday. They're dangerous that way.

    2. “And keep reading those Bible quotes. They could change your life someday.”

Atheists always score higher than Christians on tests of bible knowledge. Getting people to really know the bible is a great way to get the fence-sitters to come down atheists. Pointing out the incredible hypocrisy of Christians and the utter immorality and absurdity of basic Christian beliefs is much easier with the bible in hand.

      Have a great day!

    3. "Atheists always score higher than Christians on tests of bible knowledge."

      Empty assertion without evidence.

    4. Your right Michael, its religious knowledge, not specifically bible knowledge, that atheists score the highest on, my mistake.

I’ve aced this quiz, see how you do.

    5. Yep, KW, Christians love hypocrites. Hell's Bells, we are COMMANDED to love them. You didn't know that? And here you are, boasting 'n all 'bout how you ACED the religion quiz.

    6. I aced the 15 question quiz, KW. Couldn't find the full 32 question version.

  2. "You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
    -Matthew 5:14-16

I get what you're saying, KW, but didn't want to let your comment stand without counterpoint. There is a time for Christians to be seen, and a time to be hidden. In Tebow's case, his public displays of faith may be hypocritical (a matter of acting pious in order to attract praise and admiration) or they may be an attempt to use his fame as an opportunity to remind the nation of God. I can't read his mind and I don't really follow football (or celebrities) much, but Tebow seems like the genuine article, as far as I can tell.

    1. Sure, I think Tebow is the real deal as well, and there is much to admire about him. My point is simply that Tebow hasn’t suffered for being a Christian; he’s prospered because of it. And while both men have both gained and lost fans because of their openness, Tebow didn’t risk his career by continuing to wear bible verses and thanking Jesus the way Sam did by coming out just before the draft. Sam did the right and brave thing by coming out when he did and giving everyone an opportunity to weigh in before he ever stepped into an NFL locker room.

    2. Yes, KW, Tebow hasn't suffered. The citation isn't an attempt to complain about persecution. It is pointing out the those with ENORMOUS self-regard for their own 'tolerance' are in fact intolerant. It is just a delicious tidbit for those of us who enjoy irony.

  3. The double-standard in the MSM is blatant but not exactly surprising as they're run by immoral socialist-communists who hate Christianity. Hence why I don't support them, nor any fascist organization which tows the PC agenda, including the NFL, NBA and MLB (e.g. the Boston Red Son raising the LGBT flag in a show of solidarity).
