America is the least racist nation

Dennis Prager on race and the Democrat Party (excerpt):

Still the Least Racist Country in the World
The Left needs to position America as a racist country to sustain its political success.

In light of the tragic killing of black teenager Trayvon Martin — and the manufactured hysteria surrounding it — one thing needs to be stated as clearly and as often as possible: The United States is the least racist and least xenophobic country in the world. Foreigners of every race, ethnicity, and religion know this. Most Americans suspect this. Most black Americans and the entire Left deny this.
... Most Americans were hopeful that the election of a black president — thereby making America the first white society in history to choose a black leader — would finally put to rest the myth of a racist America. More than three years later it seems not to have accomplished a thing. I now suspect that if the president, the vice-president, the entire cabinet, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and all nine justices on the Supreme Court were black, it would have no impact on blacks who believe America is a racist society — or on the left-wing depiction of America as racist...

... The Democrats and the Left both recognize that if blacks cease viewing themselves as victims of racism, the Democratic party can no longer offer itself as black America’s savior. And if only one out of three black Americans ceases to regard to himself as a victim of racism, and votes accordingly, it will be very difficult for Democrats to win any national election.
There are many people in our nation who depend on the perception of racism for their livelihood and for their power. We have an entire national political party that would likely never win another national election if Americans came to widely understand that real racism is dying in America. Ironically, this party was the source of most of the actual racism prior to the civil rights revolution, and the civil rights revolution was largely fought against that party. That party is in a continuous struggle against racial harmony and genuine equality.

A careful honest look at the Democratic party is an emetic.

  1. Dennis Prager pulled this out of his ass. He has nothing but anecdotes to backup his claim, yet this hasn’t prevented the right-wing blogoshpere for picking it up as an article of faith. It’s truly amazing how popular statements by conservative commentators can quickly become fact in the conservative echo chamber.

By any measure, Canada is far less racist than the United States.

  2. Egnor and Prager are absolutely right!

I mean, when I want to understand racism in the US, I naturally turn to the unbiased opinion of rich, conservative white guys! I mean, who else could possibly know anything about racism?

Everybody knows that the US is much less racist than countries like the Netherlands, Brazil, and Canada. Why, just today US hockey fans expressed their support for of a black hockey player. That's something you'd never ever see in Canada.

As for the Democratic party being against racism, that's crazy! If they were really against racism, they would have nominated a black man as a presidential candidate by now. Geez, those racist Democrats... they disgust me.

And those damnded Mississippi Democrats! Why, 46% of them want to ban interracial marriage! Racists, every single one.

Egnor and Prager understand racism really, really, well.

Pretty funny. Your assertion that white guys couldn't know anything about racism is ... racist.

The fact that the Democrats gin up racial acrimony to secure the black vote is obvious.

  3. I agree entirely again! You are right, it is possible for people other than rich, privileged, conservative white guys to know something about racism!

Thank you, thank you, Dr. Egnor, for enlightening me again!

    Please, more wisdom!

  4. KW,
Bigotry of all forms is alive and well in Canada. Racism is just the same level of concern it is to you folks.
We do not have millions of minorities being whipped into a frenzy over charges of 'racism'. Our slums are full of recent immigrants and criminals of ALL sorts - not certain races that re deemed to need special help.
The racism in the USA is potent because it is carefully nurtured and tended too with entitlement programs, welfare traps, and food stamps. It is a cultivated crop that is harvested when strife is required by the dialectics of the so called 'left'.

    Anon,
What does the author's genotype have to do with his opinion? What does his level of affluence have to do with his opinion? His political affiliations?
Anon, it seems to me that you would only be interested in an opinion from a racial, class, and political sub-set.
You have, in you attempt to tar the blogger, laid bare your own racial prejudices.
I find it strange that you should despise old, wealthy, racist white men's opinions and yet hold the elitist, interbreeding Darwin and Huxley types of this world so highly!

  5. White men have been talking down the problem of racism since before the slaves where freed. It’s the nature or racism for the racists to deny it’s a problem.

You don’t know what it’s like to experience being judged based on racial expectations or being subject to extra scrutiny of those with negative racial expectations. You have Whit Privilege. Compared to racial minorities you enjoy the advantage of the most positive racial expectations and never have to carry the burden of being negatively judged because of your race.

So no, your opinions don’t count. They are the same denial that racist have always maintained.

Hmmm... let me think of an example in which I have been racially judged or have had to carry a burden because of my race...

      Here's one:

"So no, your opinions don’t count. They are the same denial that racist have always maintained."

You hae no evidence that I am personally a racist. You merely assume so because of my... race.

Are you really this stupid, KW, or is this satire?

  6. "White men have been talking down the problem of racism since before the slaves where freed."
'White men' did not invent slavery, and term 'racism' is a modern scientific one. The races of men are a very fluid idea. The 'English' or 'French' race were once discussed. But by race and racism you mean the modern 19th century EVOLUTIONIST terminology.
BTW which slaves are you talking about?
    KW,
"It’s the nature or racism for the racists to deny it’s a problem."
Nature of racism? Is it an infection of pathogen that has specific symptoms? An illness?

"You don’t know what it’s like to experience being judged based on racial expectations or being subject to extra scrutiny of those with negative racial expectations."
Sure I do. People of all races are capable of prejudice and I have worked all around the world with some VERY prejudiced peoples who have very definite opinions of the 'white man.'

"You have Whit Privilege. Compared to racial minorities you enjoy the advantage of the most positive racial expectations and never have to carry the burden of being negatively judged because of your race."
Do you mean in my own country that my culture has a position that is considered exceptional? If so you are correct. You would also be correct in assuming that the culture mentioned above came from a European source (ie 'white'). What you would not be correct about is who the privileges of that culture are extended to: Every one who is a citizen.

"So no, your opinions don’t count."
Everyone's opinion counts in this country. White, Black, Brown, or tan... no matter.

"They are the same denial that racist have always maintained."
Racism is not the denial of differences between genotypes, it is the study of them. Modern racialist thinking originates in and is justified by bunk SCIENCE.
Racists do not deny any problems, they call for RACIAL action and policy over invented and real problems.

    KW,
You seem to think racism is a condition or sickness that only effects 'white people'. Like some sort of sickle cell but emotional. The very IDEA you purpose is inherently racist. It is literally born of the ideology that gave us 'Negro workers', 'common classes', Eugenics, Genocides, and all the new crap like 'tans-humanism'.
It is scientists who experimented with skull sizes, brain capacities, eye colours, hair colours, twins, and all sorts of other nastiness to determine the 'races' of men.
The racial justification for slavery began in the 'age of reason' and culminated in the 19th century. Before that ANYONE could be taken a slave outside their own land. m It was ('white') men (of God) like Rev Wilberforce exposed it for what it is: Satanic lies.
The truth is that all men where/are CREATED equally, in God's image. Slight differences in temperament, skin colour, height, and language do make any one group 'better' than the others - just more adapted to their region and their own purposes.
Faith and Grace are what freed the slaves in the West.

    A good film:
