You can take the Democrats out of the Klan, but you can't take the Klan out of the Democrats...

  1. “I chose (Romney), not by the color of his skin but by the content of his character.”--Stacey Dash.

I'm not choosing either because of the content of their characters. But one is worse than the other and it has nothing to do with race. I'm not one of those people who will tell you that I don't "see" the color of someone's skin. Of course I do. But it really makes no difference, which is the way it should be.

We'll know we've really transcended race in America when it isn't an issue. Right now, it's still vote for the (leftist) black guy or you're racist.

    1. America transcended race a long time ago. It's the leftists amongst us who will not let it go and let it rest.

  2. My paternal grandmother, being a good Southerner, "hated" Yankees. But, what she really hated was Democrats ... I expect that being a (mostly white, partly red) share-cropper, she had a lot of experience with how "the law" in the South was employed by the Democrats as a means to keep people like her down.

  3. Anyone who believes the party supported by the majority of blacks and that nominated a black presidential candidate is the KKK party is obviously an idiot.

    1. Not anymore, but for the majority of the existence of the Klan, yes. Now the Dems hate white people like they once hated black people, so they've lost Klan support. Same racism, different target.

    2. Hey TRISH: The Democrats still don't like black people, that's why they want to kill them in the womb. Reduce the surplus population! Democrats are misanthropes. They don't like black, white, or any other color of person.

    3. The Klan's tactic wasn't merely hatred of blacks. They hated a lot of folks-- Republicans, Catholics, Jews. The key to their hatred is that it was conflict that they could use to advance their own agenda, which was power.

The KKK used racial and religious hate and fear as a political tactic, and the KKK was a cornerstone of the Democratic party for a century. Even Democrats who weren't members of the KKK had to take a knee to Klan tactics, because those tactics were indispensable for the success of the Democratic party. Without the Jim Crow South, Dems would never win a national election.

As racism began to recede in the 60's and 70's, Democrats abandoned the KKK organizationally, but continued to use its organizational strategy-- kindle racial hatred and fear to get votes.

That is the core tactic of the Democrats today. It explains why such obvious bigots as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination (!) and are taken seriously. If racial strife actually ended, and black Americans voted according to issues other than race, Democrats would never win another national election.

    5. Dems dont' hate whites. They don't hate blacks, or Catholics, or whatever.

They just hate. Their whole point is "there's this group (Blacks, whites, the 1%, rednecks, wall street, etc) out to get you, and only we can protect you."

Dems use hate and fear. They are quite open-minded about their hate, and quite flexible.

    6. Troy: When someone wants to discriminate against me because of the color of my skin, I call that hate. I don't care if the person is white. That only makes them white-hating whites.

    7. As if whites are being discriminated against in the US. What's your evidence for that? What you guys should be worried about is the growing inequality in your society. Do you think that's fair? If you're not from a rich family, to get a decent education these days means to borrow from the same loan sharks and racketeers that ruined the economy in the first place. Without a strong government to keep these parasites in check, you're fucked. But it's probably too late by now.

    8. "As if whites are being discriminated against in the US. What's your evidence for that?"

Are you really that dense? Every act of affirmative action is discrimination against the better qualified student denied admission because of race. Most of the students denied admission are white or asian. In fact, an argument can be made that the students who suffer most because of aa are asian students, who are generally admitted in much smaller numbers to elite universities than their accomplishments would suggest.

      Racism is an ugly thing.
