At least they've given up chanting about women's health

From Ed Morrissey:

Classy: Pro-abortion protesters drown out “Amazing Grace” with chants of “Hail Satan”

I admit I was skeptical of this story when it came across my e-mail yesterday evening. Generally speaking, stories that are either too good or too bad to be true aren’t. Even at the beginning of this short clip, it’s nearly impossible to make out what the pro-abortion protesters are yelling — at least until the camera swings around, and a young woman helpfully boosts the message.
It’s been a very interesting day at the Texas State Capitol. Cahnman’s Musings hasn’t been following the hearing. Instead, we’ve been participating in the surrounding events. LetTexasSpeak has been doing a live broadcast from the rotunda where women have been sharing their abortion related testimonies. The pro-abortion crowd has responded with repeated chants of “hail Satan.” It’s taken us all day to get a video recording, but here it is … For the record: They’ve been doing this all day, this is just the first time we caught it on video.

It is hard to tell what the aborties are chanting in the background, but the young woman chants "Hail Satan", and it seems to be what at least some of them were saying.

Honesty does count for something.

  1. Has the following consideration occurred to any of the anti-choice folks here: if you truly consider all abortion murder, regardless of the stage during pregnancy, how are you any better than the Germans that knowingly stood by while their countrymen slaughtered millions in the death camps?

    1. We do what we can Troy. But if good Germans like you refuse to listen..........???

    2. @troy:

We take what peaceful action we can. We are pro-life, and that precludes violence.

The death camp analogy is apt though. Only it's not strangers, but our kids, we're killing.

    3. Egnor, that reply would be more convincing if you had not been in favor of the war against Iraq. Obviously, you're not opposed to violent action. Or maybe you just are when your own life is on the line.

    4. Troy,

I understand your analogy for once. But, there is a critical difference. The pro-life people choose NOT to kill their children. We do not participate willingly and protest the slaughter. We do not pretend it is not happening or justify it politically. You do. So the analogy works for the pro abortion crowd, but not for people like myself.
As for the difference between war, murder, and killing I would suggest you do a little reading and thinking on the subject.
FYI I did oppose the war in Iraq (Gulf II).

Because we aren't "standing by", Troi-boi.

On the other hand, wasn't it the Dutch who ran the Henneicke Column? Inferring from your racial slurs, things haven't changed all that much. Still licking boots.

    6. Troy,

Your comment makes no sense at all. Are you suggesting we should kill the 'mothers' who want to kill their unborn children?
That would also kill the child...
Do you perhaps mean the legal execution of abortionists? While I am 99% against the death penalty and would be content to see them imprisoned for life, I could see the logic and 'justice' in executing at least some of the abortionists for crimes against humanity.
But, before any such action could be taken the laws must be changed. Mob rule is no rule at all.
As to the comment about human embryos - that is not what is at issue here. These protests are not against the harvesting of human embryos or abortion pills.
They are about setting a limit on elective abortions (20 weeks) to prevent late term abortions from legally taking place in the State of Texas.
My own feelings on embryos? If they are human, they are human. Killing a defenceless human being is murder. That is one reason why I am against the death penalty.

  2. Satanic, of course. The Canaanites sacrified children to Moloch. This is the same thing, inspired by the same evil.

    1. Well, the biblical God has a considerably worse track record than the biblical Satan with regard to sacrificing children. So it seems more apt to call it inspired by God.

    2. Troy,
      Try actually reading the bible.
You're way, way off on that one.
You have either been grossly misled (websites?) or are being deliberately dishonest.
God forbids human sacrifice. That is a WHOLE point of the Abraham / Isaac (known as the 'binding of Isaac') story. The demon gods of many of the ancient pagans, however where (historically) notorious for demanding the blood of innocents. They even had ritual tools to do it with.
Further, human sacrifice is extolled as an 'empowerment' work/magic by (theistic and atheistic) Satanists through out the ages - OPENLY in their 'books'.
They even outline what type of sacrifice is best (infants and babies) for tapping into the 'primal powers'.
They do not hide this madness. They advise it in many well documented works, but also warn it is illegal (ie don't get caught). So, often they make do with animals in their rituals. They also promote necrophilia, sodomy, rape, cannibalism, and other disgusting behaviour.
